Species Examples

This page lists some example species from a selection of several tens of thousands for which base calculations supporting SHI and SPI have been calculated and validated (more, including marine/coastal species, to follow soon). Additional species are accessible at MOL Species.

Switch between "Habitat Distribution", "Reserve Coverage", and "Habitat Trend" tabs to assess how improved and validated distribution estimates related to recent habitat trends and reserve coverage (information on Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures and Reserve Effectiveness to follow). The examples illustrate the potential for improved, transparent, and interactive assessment of species range and population trends and potential representation in reserves.
